Mother's Day & the End of my School Year

Oh my goodness! I can’t believe it’s been since January since I last wrote a blog post! It has been a crazy school year and things are finally wrapping up. I have about 14 days left of my school year… not that I am counting or anything. And I have very mixed feelings about this school year coming to an end. I love summer and I am so excited about this summer. Relaxing at my beautiful home, painting more with pastels, making more products to bring to you all, playing with my grand-kids, visiting my family in Southern California, Disneyland, going to farmer’s markets, and just all that summer has in store for me. But then on the other hand, I have taught this same, awesome group of students for three years now and in a few weeks I will have to say good-bye and let them move onto junior high. That is not going to be easy at all. My students have all placed guesses as to when they think Mrs. Brown is going to lose it and start crying. Little do they know, I’ve already gotten teary-eyed thinking of having to say good-bye.

Recently, my daughter and I got to do my first boutique, the Gypsy Soul Market in Logan Utah, and share my products with others there. I had a lot of fun, got positive feedback, and made some great connections. We had prints of my pastels for sale there and I am thinking I need to add those to my website and etsy site. There was so many other fun products and vendors there at Gypsy Soul Market. I am excited to do the next show with them this fall.

Also I was featured on EtsyUnique and hellosmallshop It was fun to be featured among other great products and small businesses, as well as get positive feedback from those sites and make more connections. Go check those out at their links.

Also, Mother's Day is next Sunday. And obviously Mother's Day is not just about gifts. It's about celebrating the moms and the women in our lives who make our lives better. A gift is just one of the fun ways to celebrate them!

And how fun and relaxing would it be for those women you wish to celebrate, to just sit down to doodle and color in my new Doodle Journal with some chocolate by their side and maybe a good chick-flick or romantic comedy in in the background? Doodling and coloring with some chocolate by my side and a chick-flick, or Downton Abbey, or Call the Midwife on in the background sounds like perfection to me. And if you’d you like 10% off your next purchase to get your Mother’s Day orders in, simply go to my etsy shop, search under shops for TheRelaxedArtist, and give my shop a ❤️ and favorite it! And thanks for the support you've all given me since I've started up this small shop of mine! Love you all!
